OUR STORY
From one orchard to a corporate group
1998
The beginning
Los Mangos MX was born from the vision of Carlos Palafox, a veterinarian by profession with a deep calling for agriculture, who chose the mango as the flagship product of his business. This led to the founding of Agrícola La Posta Tropical, S. de P.R. de R.L. in Mexico.
2015
Expansion to Peru
Backed by more than 30 years in the industry, Mr. Palafox launched an expansion strategy to scale operations and evolve into a corporate structure. The result was the subsidiary Mangos & Hortalizas del Perú S.A.C., now a leading export force in that country.
2022
A new generation
The organization took a new step toward institutionalization by bringing the founder’s daughters onto the leadership team. As part of this restructuring, Mangos & Hortalizas S.P.R. de R.L. de C.V. became Sunset Mangos S.A. de C.V.
Today
One corporate group
Mangos & Hortalizas del Perú and Sunset Mangos operate under the strategic direction of Los Mangos MX, the parent company and leader of the corporate group.
